Hey AE/AC it's time to revisit the "Administrative Surcharge"

I recall that when the fuel surcharge was first implemented, an AC representative had mentioned that the "baseline" they were using for oil in calculating the fuel surcharge was $40 per barrel. At the time that seemed like an absurdly low level to use as a baseline, but guess what AC, oil is down at that level.

Do what you want with your total fares, but now that oil's at $40, it's time to eliminate the fuel surcharge which you morphed into an "administrative surcharge". As an SE this doesn't really affect me as much directly, since I don't pay YQ on AC redemptions, but for everyone else, it is simply not reasonable that we're being asked to pay for high fuel costs in our "free" tickets when high fuel costs have gone away.

(Also posted to their Facebook site - let's see how long it stays there).
