Not quite the steal that many domestic USA trips are!

The key feature here is whether the flight is over 2000 miles, where TPs go from 40 to 140 TPs, which IPC to SCL is, here it is 2336 miles, which shows how remote these islands are. I use gcmap.com to work out distances and draw me interesting maps, however it is the airline's calculation that counts. So for something like PHX-BWI (1999 miles) it's best to check the operating airline's website or inflight magazine to see if they counted it from the start of the runway or the end!
