I fly little prop planes every week (unless I am somewhere else) back and forth between Seattle and Portland. In the winter we never have any service because they won't let the flight attendants get up throughout the entire flight. I get so used to it that I never even think about it but when I fly with a vendor or employee in winter they always freak out.

The I remember was a flight in June between Chicago and Seattle where we were surrounded by storms. The seatbelt light never went off even once. Going to the bathroom was a dangerous (but alas on a 4 hour flight, necessary) adventure.

Makes you wonder if maybe you shouldn't take your own little bottle of Scotch on board.
