Does anyone know how CI manages their J award space on routes to the US? I'm particularly interested in booking a TPE-JFK flight using DL Skymiles. It looks like they release two seats when the schedule opens. The flight I want to book has only one seat remaining and I need two seats. Is there a trend of CI opening up more space as the departure date approaches?

EVA seems to take a different approach of not releasing any J space at all until a few weeks out.
