Delta Prince Edward, Charlottetown PE Canada

Just finished up a one-night stay here as an MR Gold. I reserved it at marriott.com. Some highlights:

Check-in/room
All of the agents I spoke with were pleasant and courteous. I asked about the possibility of a sea view room, having booked a 2 queen/city view, but I was told that they were full. They had, however, upgraded me to a King on their top floor. Click here for a photo of the room (on my Instagram, sigh). Presumably, some Kings have sofa beds as well, but I wasn't that lucky.

The issue I initially ran into was that I wasn't exactly interested in sharing a bed with my traveling partner, and the hotel was, again, full. When I spoke with the FD again, this time a new agent, it turns out that MR.com had pushed the wrong information: where I had booked for two adults, they saw my booking as only having one adult, so they moved me into a larger, king room. Luckily, I was more than happy to take the window bench for the night, and they were able to provide extra bedsheets. Plus, it was a novelty.

Facilities
There is no lounge. The elevator was pretty slow to get to where you wanted, and sometimes the down button would suddenly become unlit, requiring it to be pressed again. There was a pool (including a hot tub behind it) and workout room on the second floor, open until 10:30. The workout room isn't initially visible as you walk in. You have to walk up the ramp towards the pool, and then you'll see it on your left. It's got a decent amount of equipment.

Restaurant
If anyone has a sweet tooth, the cheapest dessert item is $6 (excluding 14% HST). I ordered one dessert item, and it was okay, but it wasn't worth the price. The next day, I had a buffet breakfast in the restaurant (free for MR Gold/Plat members). There was a good selection including fruits, cured meats/salmon, Greek yogurt, scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage, waffles (really good Liege-style waffles), pastries (e.g. chocolate croissant, apple turnover, butter croissant), cereal, and english muffins.

Overall, it was a good stay, aside from the hiccup at the beginning, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the hotel again. The location was pretty good, and the staff were great.
