it's not enough money (at least this time) to really get concerned about, but at some point it would be useful to know if this money is eventually refunded or if it's gone forever once prepaid... thanks.
According to Budget.com:

If your change results in a lower rental amount, an overpayment refund will be applied back to the card you used for prepayment by our central billing department within seven business days after you return your rental.
