Citigold. I thought it would work too, but I think I'll get a fraud alert if I try again since the credit agent wouldn't believe me that it's a purchase. Maybe I'll just call the CC people and just say I'm planning a big purchase and not say what it is.
As a follow-up, I told the credit card folks I would be making a large purchase, including the amount, by whom, and when. It was still declined, so maybe business cards are a no-go? I'll try again with a Barclays card I guess.
