NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have detained a hacker and are conducting further raids in connection with alleged hacking into the British Airways' systems wherein crooks siphoned off millions of "mileage points" worth several millions pounds belonging to its fliers.

Scores of fliers complained to the airline of losing their travel points after which the airways conducted internal inquiry and informed police immediately after it found anomalies.

Joint commissioner (crime) Ravindra Yadav confirmed the developments to TOI. "An FIR under sections of IT Act and forgery has been registered and a team led by ACP KPS Malhotra is investigating the fraud," he said.

Sources said one person has been apprehended and cops were looking out for two others.

"A Karol Bagh-based travel agency is under the scanner and a team led by DCP Bhisham Singh and ACP KPS Malhotra are carrying out raids to nab the suspects. We will give further details soon," said Alok Kumar, addl commissioner (crime).
