VCE is an origination/destination point for many cruises. I think the size of cruise ships has been reduced due to wake issues, but the schedule looks busy for the summer. We flew into MXP last year because VCE flights were hard to find at affordable fares or mileage awards.
That was my point, VCE isnt selling full fare tkts. If anything the cruise lines get a nice discount and make money when selling its passengers the tkts. I doubt many biz folks fly into VCE, MXP for sure gets the biz crowd. Nor do I think ATH is pulling in any great #s dont know if either is even profitable
Again if TLV was losing money I have no problem with it being CXed, I just dont understand why other routes that may also be losing money will still be flown. So losing some money we will keep flying but once it goes over x$s we pull out. Id pull out if we werent making enough money to justify keeping the flight, forget about losing any money.Id move the planes to routes where we can make some money.
