Punki, you are soooooo correct about that starboard north, port south. When you first posted that suggestion about a year ago, I changed my already scheduled seats to Anchorage and was glad I did.

Psahuang, oh to have the problems you have!!

I would put my 2-cents in for HOMER. A 4-10 hr. trip by car from Anchorage with the Turnagain arm tide watch as part of the fun. OR
Homer is also a 45 min plane ride on Era Aviation. Get my tickets through Alaska Air, so maybe your ticket could get you all the way to Homer.

Homer is a great people watching place, Super fishing (halibut), and awesome scenery. Many nice B&B's also motels. Had a bus shuttle last year from town to the "spit" (fishing harbor). It is a town of about 4,000, with many unuasual local art galleries, not just tourist traps.
