There are many reasons I no longer work there. Nickel-and-diming like that is one of them.

They did have us carpool (we sent 3x people to XNA that trip), so they only had to pay mileage to one person, vs. paying 3x $450 or so for the extra airfare for a closer airport. We drove to CLT and even ATL a couple of times for onward travel () to save on $$, and given we were salaried, they inevitably had us make those drives on the weekend to avoid paying for the time, too. But that's fodder for OMNI, not UA...
