In looking through the threads the only one longer I see is an AC flight YYZ-PDX at 2097.
It's 1550 according to GCMap when I check. Still quite a slog.

Look at the CRJ-200s and E145s UA and other carriers have used for flights from, say, IAH to North Dakota oilfields. The big execs fly private anyway. It's everyone else, who have to make the trips and for whom UA and others charge out the nose for a substandard experience, who drive the market.

The times I flew to XNA (yes, to do business with Walmart), the cruddy CRJs UA and DL flew were packed with business travelers. IIRC, my last trip there was GSO-ATL-XNA on DL and cost ~$1000. That was with my company making me drive 2 hours to GSO to bring the cost down to $1k from any of the closer airports.

The airlines know they will fill these planes, and know they'll get premium fares out of it, without having to provide a premium product or widebodies.

But, many of their vendors may spring for J, and with Walmart, vendors go to them, not vice-versa.
