The Life of a Travelling Account Man

Great TR posts and thanks for answering the many questions that all of us have! I am amazed at how much fits in the Rimowa carry on bag, including that pair of shoes!

Very fun about the Swansea trip, but 3 trains (2 connections) - wow! I hadn't realized your football dedication. Nice that you've got fellow fans to travel for the matches.

The Fingerprints trip was fascinating - I consider Newcastle a decent size city for the UK and am surprised that one has to travel all the way to London for the visa fingerprints. Bummer that there wasn't a closer city. It's also not the best use of your time for work - I can imagine that you've got more work to do that couldn't get easily done on the fingerprint voyage.

So more personal questions - does your firm allow you to use other airlines to BA and KLM, if you decided to try someone else for a trek (eg LOT or LH)? I assume that you just use the company cc for your flights and hotels. Do you have to submit receipts or other expense paperwork to someone at the firm?

And 75.95 for the London train in what I assume is in "Y" class for Newcastle-London return - I assume the firm pays this? I have no idea how much train tickets cost but I got a little sticker shock. Then again I probably last took a train in the UK in the 90s, and only went to the UK 4 times between 2003-2010.

What's the SFO trip for Easter?? (I live in San Francisco).
