For the most part, Walmart does not deal directly with manufacturers in China. It's the import-exporters that do the bulk of the back-and-forth travel between China/Asia and the U.S., mostly L.A. They also conduct business with competitors like Target (Mpls) and Kohls (Milw).
AA has been flying LAX-XNA for years, using either a CR7 or CR9. AA has also flown XNA-DCA and XNA-RDU in the past, using E135s

, but I don't know if they are still around. Anyway, poo-poohing UA for using the CR7 is silly. That said, I doubt UA's SFO-XNA will be as successful as AA's LAX-XNA.
