Indurain, take off that hair shirt and stop flogging yourself. If the crew move people around for weight and balance purposes, then the crew can sort out any problem created by this. You should not have to sort it out.

I find quite often that people travelling with an undesirable seat assignment will "accidently on purpose" take a preferred seat if they are the first one to reach that row. They play the odds that nobody will cause a scene in pointing out the seating error to them and make them move. Your boarding card is your best weapon against these seat moochers. Never hesitate to use it and get a crew member to do it on your behalf.

naxos, when the airport activity comes to a standstill due to lighening in the area (we call it a Thor Alert) fuelling trucks cannot operate either. Not until the alert is cancelled can they procede to fuel the aircraft which is why fuelling and boarding can happen simultaneously or in reverse order. The system is similar to you lining up at the gas pumps to service your car. These trucks have a lineup too and they were probably behind schedule due to the weather shutdown. I hope I've explained it clearly.
