I think your biggest concern will be delays. I never got on time in GRU although I'm flying 85% from MIA and the rest from JFK. I checked flightaware and it looks the DFW one is much more reliable.

Regarding the transfer it's rather simple; follow the signs "transfer" and you'll get thee once deboarding in max 20 minutes.
