I assume the flight is to Narita? Not to be difficult but it's NRT (apologies).
On trying to get into E+, I would not hold my breath as a Premier Silver. At that status level, E+ upgrades take place at check in, possibly at the gate in the event of no show. The problem is that SFO and NRT is a key route and both ends are high status elite heavy and tends to go out full at just about any time, nevermind one week before a major holiday. Hope for the best, but don't hold your breath.
