Spirit flight cancelled
My Cousin flew SJU-LAX which was cancelled on spirit due to an bird (flew into the engine. etc.)

Spirit cancelled the flight, refunded all PAX, but didn't notify until day of check-in at the airport.

Was given refunds to all PAX with no compensation, re-ticketing option, nor help. Hotels & Airlines immediately raised fares 2-3X the rate that day. All award seats were magically pulled from multiple carriers.

Ended up paying $880 one way per PAX to Delta.

Is Spirit due or will sympathize in compensating the 3 PAX?
