Well this is the reply I got from aa. Seems from what I can assume is that the reservations agent made the change which I declined. Upon check in the agent saw that I was booked on the flight I asked her for and did nothing about it. Someone hours later decided to be a jackass and offload me from the flight.
What makes me really angry is that I was flying with two others on the same flights. Different confirmation number. They flew on the earlier flight with no problem. After all my complaints with dot bbb etc should I take aa to scc for an idb. I still have my original boarding pass which the GA attempted to rip up.

We regret you had trouble checking in at the airport for your flight. Our records indicate changes were made to your reservation and we needed a payment to complete your ticketing process. When payment was not received your reservation was cancelled. You were not denied boarding; there was not a valid paid ticket to allow your boarding.
Mr. Xxx, there is nothing we can do to change the situation you faced on August 18. We cannot honor any goodwill or compensation for your inconvenience due to nonpayment of your flight changes.
