My Barclays Aviator Red annual fee posted July 31st. I called yesterday (8/18) and they transferred me to relationship manager who waived the $89 fee. I asked about any promotions or bonuses on my account. He said none. Unfortunately, I'm not one of those that also get the 10K anniversary bonus miles but I asked about it anyway just to be sure. Nope. But for my troubles he said he'll give me 500 bonus miles.

I also inquired about upgrading to silver and he said I do qualify and he can upgrade me now. The $195 fee would be waived for 1st year. I declined. I don't travel or spend enough to need the silver card. Just thought I'd check.

I called around 4pm PST. Around 9pm PST I logged into my account and both $89 credit and 500 miles deposit were already showing.
