Why should my spend be treated any differently if I haven't paid for my room, something I'm able to do because of my loyalty to the brand?
Hotel restaurant meals should be okay; however, gift shop items, tours booked through the hotel, spa charges, are considered independent contractor charges that a hotel lets you charge as a courtesy.
