Beautiful city for sure, definitely worth seeing. Got bored after a day though, and found the lack of locals (other than some woman who wanted to marry me) a bit offputting though. Also felt that the city was severely lacking in good places to eat and so on. But worth seeing.

I'll write a full trip report later I think. But yeah, the plov I had in one of the tourist restaurants in Ichon Qala in Khiva compared to Central Asian Plov Center or National Food in Tashkent... world's apart
