I´m trying to help a fellow U.S. student on my exchange program in Germany get her mother here and back from Los Angeles during July. Since round-trip airfare to Frankfurt costs a fortune, I suggested that she do an open-jaw and arrive in London, then depart from Frankfurt. Unfortunately it doesn´t seem like TISS can do an open-jaw and the other websites I´ve found which do show consolidator airfares for such itineraries don´t let you check availability in real time. Anyone know of such a site? Alternatively, can anyone give me the number of a travel agent in the Los Angeles area that deals with consolidator tickets?
For now, I´m holding a one-way to London on LH and a one-way back from Frankfurt on NW that I booked on TISS (at less than the cost of a round-trip to Frankfurt). However, I´d like to be able to price an open-jaw to see if that would be cheaper - some of the sites that give fares (but not availability) have indicated that this could be the case. I´d appreciate any help with this.
