I can definitely see how a one-off situation can be simple human error, but I personally have never seen this happen with any other hotel chain. It's kinda crazy (and concerning) how often Hilton emails are sent to the wrong people!

And don't even get me started on the notes, phone calls, invoices, etc that I have received while in the hotel that were intended for another guest! I've even had folios from other rooms slipped under my door at night. Those folios included people's names, home address, phone number and of course HH number on them since it is an invoice.

But, on the fun side, I've also received a bottle of champagne left in my room for a guest who no-showed. That's happened 3 times now, all in Europe Hiltons. And the one time there was a rather interesting 'love note' and...ahem...photo from someone who obviously didn't realize the person gave them fake information in the hotel bar. Too many times I've been called from the front desk and told I had a 'guest' in the lobby only for the FD clerk to realize they dialed the wrong room.
