Angry Unattended kids screaming in J QR714

I am not here to say kids should be banned from Business. I would rather say all types of people should be welcome at any class any cabin.

I had a horrible experience last QR flight I took from IAH and sitting in 2F. Towards the end of boarding, a family with 5 or 6 kids boarded. There were two elder girls aged 10-12 and three other young kids aged 3-5 along with their parents. I am used to babies crying and children making noises in flights but what happened after this family boarded was a nightmare.

Shortly after the meals parents went to sleep, and the 3 younger kids were still roaming free in the cabin. A boy aged 4 or 5 from the same family sat next to me in 2J and started playing video game without head sets. Soon he was bored and started jumping from the seats, playing with his siblings and running around the cabin. At one points of time he was swinging between 2F and 2J :-) and jumping to the floor making loud noise. I guess these noises from floor won't be that loud when sitting upright but when you are trying to sleep, they were horrible. Two girls who apparently were assigned to look after the young siblings were trying to calm the younger ones from time to time but that was of no help. Smallest girls in the group was circling the cabin use to end up in galley every 5 minutes and FAs were occasionally trying their best to keeps the kids in their seats.

Around 6 hours into the flight I complained to FA and she woke up the parents. Father shouted to his boy and all settled for a minute or two. Both of the parents ordered more food and went back to sleep. An hour later the boy went to sleep and soon his sisters and the flight ensued to calmness.

Overall I think FAs didn't do their best to make sure cabin was calm and quiet in a redeye flight. Unfortunately DOH was not my final destination as I was connecting to a 4hr flight to India and was tired. I am yet to write about this ordeal to QR, I am not even sure if they are going to acknowledge the issue.
