Last night I bought a last minute J ticket SMF-PHL-MIA-XXX.. My ticket had a long layover in PHL and about 30 minutes after issuing the ticket space opened up on an earlier flight.. Called Reservations who quoted me a hefty change fee even though F/A class was available.. I was told to check with the Check in desk at SMF and they could probably sort everything out. I've done this before (got on earlier/later flight) So at check in, I asked to be put on the earlier flight and got a BP.. Upon boarding in PHL someone else had my seat, and I was told that someone at reservations changed me back to my original flight. The GA tried to throw my BP away.. I still have it... I'm quite mad at the moment... Any advice?
