The funny thing is that entry to the pre-flight dining at JFK is more policed than entry to the Gold Lounge.

Also, if you were getting an evening flight from LHR heading east, a meal is available in the lounge. The sleeper service seems to cancel out available food to elites in WT/WT+ at JFK etc.

As for the supper, I've never been wowed. The last time I was there, I got up to get a drink or dessert or something and returned to find my place cleared away.
