what a load of twaddle in this thread.
Look, the way to look at this is as follows:
In the old days BA used to provide a full meal service on board for all Club passengers.
Then they introduced flat beds so people could sleep
then they realised that taking over an hour on a meal service on a relatively short overnight flight when a bed had been provided was a bit counter-intuitive
So the pre-flight supper product was introduced as a SUBSTITUTE FOR ON BOARD FULL MEAL SERVICE on a number of flights designated SLEEPER SERVICES where on board catering to the Club cabin was to be heavily restricted
And that is what it is: SO, if you were on board in J and your colleague in Y, would you expect BA to allow your friend to come up to the Club cabin and have Club catering during the flight? Cos that is all pre flight supper is: its your on board catering provided "off board" so you can maximise your sleep time.
Simple, end of. No exceptions, no ask nicely's. If you want pre flight supper buy a club ticket on a sleeper service.
