A little over a decade ago, my laptop was so heavy it did my back in. Now its descendant slides into a corner of my bag and I sometimes forget I'm carrying it. But I still find myself scrambling around for a nearby phone socket, or else badgering friends or the hotel business center into printing, scanning or faxing stuff.
