As I said, we didn't ask for anything and didn't expect anything. They made the initial step, unprompted, and that immediately changed the entire game. It makes little sense to INVITE one member of a couple and not the other. Yes, there is cabin "integrity," but there is also human integrity. Sometimes, common sense (15 empty seats) dictates that you do the right thing.
