IMO the big difference is that the Depot isn't on the skyway. In February, this can be a serious drawback. However, I suspect that their parking (valet or self park, outdoors or in a heated underground garage apparently owned by the hotel but open to the general public.
There's also a connected RI at the Depot which shares facilities/services with the Renaissance. For instance, you can order room service from the Renaissance restaurant, although it's served with disposable dishes and silverware (but you can transfer the food to real dishes in your RI kitchen obviously). The two properties are connected by an indoor water park, but the pathway is open 24/7.
The light rail station is about three blocks, so it's not s significant difference in distance versus the other two hotels.
