Not recent. I gave up on this place about 2 years ago after a disastrous stay. The Rosewood Sand Hill has morphed into a 'bar with a hotel/resort attached to it'. On top of that, the hotel/resort part is more geared towards conferences and not individual business travelers. Add strike three: they allow locals access to the facilities.

So if you are really lucky, you'll fight:
The conference crowd
The cougar party in the bar
Locals in the spa/pool

And this chokes the place into complete gridlock. Everywhere. Everything. This means no parking whatsoever, 2 hours waits for a table at dinner and/or BK. No pool chairs, spa appointments, et al. You can't solve the food problem via room service since it all comes from the same kitchen. Also, the Michelin star that Madera got is *very* suspect.
