I thought (per the wiki) that connections on CX were handled slightly differently to OW rules? Ie, arriving CX F and connecting to CX or KA, you would be granted lounge access dependent on the arriving flight, regardless of flight length?
CX had the policy of allowing lounge access according to the long haul class if transiting to a short-haul flight way before OW made that the policy, but I don't think that applies to short-haul to short-haul transfers. I might be wrong, and it doesn't hurt to try.
