I was at the UA Arrivals lounge about a month ago. I would not get too excited about the place. The lounge itself is pretty small and the food offerings are pretty basic. There are several showers, but the staff is unhelpful and downright rude. When I got there, they had me sign up on a waiting list for showers that was about 20 people long. I waited, then asked to use a bathroom. Both bathrooms were full so I waited by them and the front desk person realized that I saw that all the ten or so shower rooms were wide open and cleaned -- they just weren't bothering to open them to customers. She then let me use a shower room as folks on the list ahead of me had all left, after waiting for half an hour or more. The shower room is nice initially but then I realized that it was extremely stuffy, as was the lounge itself. There did not seem to be a fan in the room nor decent air circulation anywhere in the lounge. As other posts have mentioned, if you take a shower, watch out for no fan/coming out of the shower room in a sweat. The shower did not have cold water, only warm water. In fact, all the water faucets at LHR seemed to have scalding hot or warm water only -- no cold water. I would not have minded being able to cool down either in the Arrivals lounge or later in Terminal 2.
