No offense, but are we talking about the same place? There's hot food cooked to order including a full English breakfast, pancakes, eggs benedict, etc. And even the buffet is rather upper scale. If that's the definition of basic, then I don't know how you call continental breakfast...
Arrivals Lounge - breakfast cooked to order but no buffet (unless you count muffins, cookies and bread)
United Club - buffet (and a very decent one)
IFL at LHR - both buffet and items cooked to order Best in the system.
