Hi ! Actually flying back to NYC at this moment, and posting through Gogo
So, problem is with US stopovers comming from international is : you have to go through customs and immigration controls, which can take as little as 30min up to 3h, depending on how busy the day and time is. A month ago I was flying to NYC from Nicaragua and made a stopover at Miami, had like 2hours and a half to pass through customs and immigration, and even though missed my following flight. So I'm very septic about your stopover, knowing that you also will have to go to LGA with a 30min ride with no traffic....
Best piece of advise I could give you is DO NOT MAKE INBOUND STOPOVERS unless you have 5 or 6 hours of layout. But as you are looking for TP, if you reeaaaaly want to do this particular itinerary, you better be the first out of the plane on arrival to JFK !
Have a good TPs run planning
