Interesting situation with me this week.

Turned up for BA1489 on Friday (GLA-LHR) as part of a GLA-LHR-AMS booking in CE. I had checked in online the day before pretty much around the 24hour mark. Upon entering the lounge, I was asked if i wanted to take the direct KLM flight to AMS in J.

I was told I would receive no TPs or Avios for the original routing....

... So I declined, but, I asked further - why was a Gold member on a CE/J fare being asked to be offloaded? No one knew the answer.

In the end, I flew my original route, but it was an interesting experience. I guess they got someone else to take a later flight!
