Sounds like an issue with the fare buckets. Either they've booked you into the wrong one or there is an issue with the sales city. Perhaps worth checking with the agent which bucket they've put you in as a first step.
In terms of the sales city, if you are booking ex-DUB but calling the UK I've found that on rare occasions they can't see the same availability - generally ITA might see I2 for instance as the sales city is most likely set to dublin. The BA team in the UK might see I0 and so book you into the next bucket up, hence the increase in cost.
