Ban Trusted Traveller Reference
Since when does additional security protocols applied for access to NEXUS, Global Entry, etc. convert the traveler to some kind of "Trusted" status.
The fact that such travellers are still subject to various ongoing protocols, including biometric verification, only makes them better known.
in goods movement business, border control agencies make reference to "Known Shippers" - while this too can be interpreted somewhat broadly, a more accurate reflection would be something like "Registered Travelers".
Governments should immediately ban use of "trusted traveller" as by implication, this means everyone else is "untrusted" - this presumes that citizens and visitors alike when crossing the border are guilty in some way and should not be treated as something dangerous that "untrustworthy" would suggest.
thoughts please!
