But Re: $300 upgrade, it's in a package only yes. Probably offered because they are making cash dollar bills on the hotel, so they don't mind selling the upgrade cheap (and the cabin is like always nearly empty anyways, super sad).

Also, when I buy the J on ACV, it usually books into C, and if I connect domestically it also books in C.

I have seen, mostly on last minute bookings, the J ticket booking in P on both segments (which is weird because I don't think ACV has 'P' fares), so maybe on very late bookings with a connection you could easily end up on an AC Flex/High Flex fare?
