Get there 3 hours early, check on availability at the spa, and schedule the meal around whatever time they can give us? Or would we need to get there earlier?

Do you have to walk from the CCR to the spa to check availability, or can someone at the CCR desk call or inquire for us?
There is actually a phone inside the CCR which connects you through to the spa. It's a bit awkward picking up the phone in the middle of the lounge and launching (amidst the silence of the CCR) "oh hello I'm phoning from the Concorde room, I was wondering about making a spa reservation". It's possibly the most middle class start to a phone call in history.
