Staring in Asia would be the way to go.
It's only 105k miles and I think fuel surcharges are much lower.

You can do two stops on the award, so you could do somthing like TYO - PVG (stop) - AKL (destination) - SYD (stop) - ICN - TYO.
PVG-AKL seems like the best bet to get ANZ C class which is the best product in the market (TG/OZ might be angled flat, SQ might not be available as award).
