Let's wait until the debit cards are actually manufactured before making assumptions about offline/online. I am excited about the card because I'm not interested in formally applying for yet another credit card for a backup overseas PIN card, in addition to my UN card.
Maybe it'll be different with First Tech. I did find this though:
