Do also keep in mind that you paid for LAX-ASE.
AA failed to provide that transport, by willfully flying an aircraft that could not legally land at ASE.
How did you get to ASE from Grand Junction.
I assume you are documenting the core issue with the localizer, AA's certification, etc. To establish it was not weather, and was not equipment- but was their certification (which they corrected 2 or 3 days later)
A well written small claims filing will likely result in a call from Risk Management with an offer ... dont forget to add filing fees.
