My question is: has anyone done this and do you get the 3X points. I've read the fine print on the Amex site and nothing jumps out and says it's only 1:1 for such transactions or that such transactions are not eligible.
Isn't 3x points the minimum for Amex? I've put property and income tax payments on my card and received 3x points.

Not a great deal but helps me reach $40k spending for diamond.
