I'd plan my flights more around options to fall back on, rather than on the clubs.
The Denver airport authority also uses the "East/West" moniker.
Everything west of the train - which travels north/south - is West, including the United Club. Everything east of the train is East. The check in counters are either "Terminal West" or "Terminal East".
Lower gate numbers are West. Higher are East.
The West club was remodeled. The East club is not. Both clubs have the same food, and no, it is not crumbs in the bottom of the bowl.
