You know, I never thought about chargers. I always check our good chargers and take a junky one for transit in case it gets left behind at the airport or on the plane.
I always have my main electronics (iphone or MacBook air, mifi, one charger for each and one travel adaptor plug) in my carryon for lightness so I can get by if my luggage goes missing, or more likely, delayed for a day, but the multiple heavier adaptors, voltage changing and the like, I put in the checked bag. Actually, an amenity kit bag is handy for holding the chargers and cords in my carry-on.
