The Charlotte Hornets and Detroit Pistons don't charter a plane I believe, they own their own planes (the Pistons were the first pro-team in the US to buy their own plane instead of chartering). The Atlanta Hawks also own their own plane I think. The Pistons have a DC-9 I believe and the Hornets and Hawks use old 737's. Since they own their planes, you'll know 'em when you see 'em because they are painted in team colors with the team's logo.
