Your math(s) is correct, in that a business class award for JFK-SFO costs 37.5k avios each way, so 75k return, 150k total for two people.

However, you will only be able to book using avios if there is availability at the cheaper AA Saver award level. If you can only find availability at the AAnytime level for your dates, you won't be able to book this using avios.
