Just checked in here and am a little perplexed. Was told that no upgrade was available because of high occupancy, but to check back tomorrow with the front desk because a lot of people would be checking out and an upgrade would be likely. I asked what an upgrade would entail and was told, "same level of room, but a recently renovated one." Okay, sounds fine.
Asked about breakfast and lounge. "Because you booked on P+C, breakfast is not provided." I am HH Gold btw. Okay, well what about lounge? "Your room type does not provide access to lounge." hmmm, i left perplexed and didn't press the issue on check in because we'd just had a long trip and it's late. But what gives? Lounge access is tied to the particular room I'm in, not my gold status? So if I get "upgraded" to a newer room, might I then get lounge access?
And do P+C stays get kicked to some lower tier of perks? Because if so, my last night is paid cash and I assume I'll get something on that day. Read through the thread and saw something about NOR-1 but no clue if this has anything to do with what I've experienced.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
